Create your own stunning free-standing stained-glass window to display in your home. What You’ll Create:
A rectangular or house-shaped stained-glass panel (approximately 20cm W x 30cm H) featuring your own design – perfect for sunrise/sunset scenes, geometric patterns, or any motif that inspires you. Download the template HERE. Your finished piece will be professionally mounted on a handcrafted hardwood plinth (25cm L x 7cm W x 3cm H) using sturdy steel bars, ensuring stability and longevity.
Techniques You’ll Learn:
- Designing and cutting glass for your chosen pattern
- Copper foil technique for interior construction
- Traditional leaded glass work for the external frame
- Soldering and finishing techniques for both copper foil and lead
- Mounting your window securely to the wooden base with steel fixings
- Professional finishing and patina application
