Create a beautiful leaded stained glass panel to hang in your window and fill your room with colorful light throughout the day.

What You’ll Create:

A stunning leaded stained glass suncatcher (approximately 20cm W x 30cm H) in your choice of design. Download the template HERE. You can bring your own design or adapt one from my selection of patterns – perfect for mandalas, nature scenes, animals, abstract designs, or traditional motifs. Your finished piece will have soldered eyelets attached, ready to hang in your window where it will catch the sunlight and create beautiful colored reflections in your home.

Techniques You’ll Learn:

• Designing your suncatcher panel and creating a working template
• Cutting glass to your chosen pattern
• Cutting and shaping traditional lead came
• Assembling glass pieces with lead
• Soldering techniques for strong, neat joints
• Applying glass cement for weatherproofing and strength
• Attaching hanging eyelets for display
• Professional finishing and cleaning

This course will take you through the complete process of designing your panel, creating a template, cutting glass, and cutting lead came. These components will then be soldered together before applying glass cement. You will also solder on two eyelets to allow the panel to be hung up when finished.

All materials are included: glass in your choice of colours, lead came, solder, flux, cement, and hanging eyelets.

The finished glass panel size will be approximately 20cm W x 30cm.

Important Safety Information: Please note that this course involves working with lead products and glass. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not attend. Please wear sturdy old clothing and closed-toe shoes – no open-toed shoes or sandals due to glass fragments.
